If I may ask: what are you using for smoking the herbs? Hookah? Vaporizer? Also using small personal vaporizer by chance: the I-inhale or the Oxygen? And if you are using the small ones: have you been trying to use these for e-liquid too, and perhaps found better ways to smoke it allready then Simon has so far?

I have been using my electronic cigarette from Vapornine.

I also use a home made vaporizer and of course my hooka, but when I use my hooka I leave out the extra water and solutions and just go strait to the herbs and extracts mixed with my personal herbs if you know what I mean.

Basically I just make an herbal liquid by cooking it down. If using alcohol based extracts, I boil off the alcohol in the boil process. Once I get a nice liquid concentrate that isn't too oily or tarry, I just make a typical plain solution and add a few drops to it in the cartridge.

As for the BEST way to smoke the herbs... I will have to say the hooka is best. But I can't carry a hooka in my car very well! And the police don't like it when I do!

I understand what you are saying. Was especially interested, if you might have found reasonable ways to use the e-liquid (alone) in the new mini-vaporizers. But of course that answer would be no if you are using an e-cig for it.

You aren't having clogging-problems with the way you are making your e-liquid? That sounds a bit unexpected; and interesting.

I do... but it just takes practice... lots of practice. I have gone through a lot of atomizers and cartridges, burnt tastes and the works. But I have been pretty serious about getting it right. No recipe is guaranteed without practice. A good recipe at 55 feet above sea level elevation can be an extremely bad recipe at 200 feet above sea level. Just depends on the environment, quality of ingredients, methods (gas stove, electric stove, model), pans, cartridge quality, e-cig quality, atomizer qualities.

The best advice I can give to anyone is... if you do not get it right the first time.. try, try again! Isolate the issue and find a way around it. Better e-cig part, ratios of recipe and even the brand of ingredients. Alchemy is the perfection of an imperfect world.

Haha okay... try and try... do you have any special hints for under sea-level? Or would you expect special difficulties from that fact?
Btw, is there a reason, other then not having the devices, for not distillating anything in the process? I can imagine it might take out strength or taste, but I have never distillated anything myself, so it's just an idea, maybe all the way wrong... or right?

I have never distilled anything as well yet. I am a kitchen alchemist. If I can't make it in any kitchen, I don't bother... yet.

I am however going back to college to learn organic chemistry practices to improve on my alchemy. But meantime. It doesn't seem to make a huge difference... I can usually create what I need using very simple methods. I can not tell the difference when smoking!

EDIT: As for sea level... I am not exactly sure what effects are unique to each elevation. I do know that atmospheric pressure can effect things differently. There are just so many variables that can effect clogging, thickness of the fluid, oil %, plant materials, impurities from handling the fluids, dust on a syringe needle, humidity... any thing really. Home made alchemy is a trial and error thing. You may have the perfect solution and a bad atomizer or filter and blame it on the solution or vice versa.

The trick is... when you find something that works for your vaporizer, when you switch models or brands, you may find it doesn't work well in that particular model of vaporizer.

The search for a perfect blend is everyones goal I think. I however am gearing up for some major tests next week. I will report any more findings with this group that I discover in my experiments.
